Middletown 7, Goshen 6

Emily Michaels had two hits and an RBI and Kelsey McDonough drove in two runs for Middletown in a non-league victory. Samantha DeGroat allowed seven hits and struck out six. Chelsea Del Vecchio tripled for Middletown (6-3).

Rylie Carpenter cleared the bases with a triple but was thrown out trying to score the tying run in the seventh inning.

Jane Pinckney fired a no-hitter, struck out nine and went 3-for-4 to lead Valley Central to a non-league, six-inning, road win, 15-0 over Middletown on Friday. Pinckney walked one.

Sam Maier was 3-for-5 with a triple and two RBI and Brooke Harrington added a triple and an RBI for Valley Central (9-0).

Maggie Cocks and Leanna Feerick each had two RBI.

Middletown is 5-3.

Kelsey McDonough was 3-for-3 with an RBI in host Middletown's non-league loss.

Amanda Castillo was 2-for-3 for Middletown (5-2), which allowed just one earned run. Ketcham is 4-2.

Winning pitcher Amanda Castillo threw a five-hitter, struck out four, doubled, singled and scored twice to help Middletown to a non-league win.

Rachel Reed added three hits including a double and three RBI for Middletown (5-1).

Siobhan Barton had two hits for Warwick (4-2).

Middletown scored three runs in the top of the fourth inning and held off Kempsville, Va. 3-2 in Myrtle Beach, S.C.

Rachel Reed had a two-run double and Kelsey McDonough added an RBI single for Middletown (4-1). Winning pitcher Samantha DeGroat scattered five hits and struck out eight.

Middletown went 3-0 in the tournament and won its bracket.

Morgan Clarke had a double and two RBI to lift Middletown to a 6-2 win over Paramus (N.J.) Catholic. Chelsea DelVecchio and Kelsey McDonough each added an RBI single and Amanda Castillo fired a two-hitter and struck out six for Middletown (3-1).

Winning pitcher Samantha DeGroat struck out nine and allowed just three hits to lead Middletown to a 3-2 first-round win over Madison, Ohio, in Myrtle Beach, S.C.
Amanda Castillo went 2-for-4 with a double and a run scored for Middletown (2-1) and Kelsey McDonough had a RBI single.

Pine Bush 9, Middletown 8

Christie Nicolo went 3-for-5 with four RBI, including the game-winning single in the bottom of the seventh inning, to lead host Pine Bush to an OCIAA Division I softball win Wednesday.

Winning pitcher Adrianna Mallory struck out 10 and allowed three hits in six innings. Samantha Manley went 2-for-2 for Pine Bush (2-0, 2-0 OCIAA).
